Two large facing quotation marks in charcoal and red separated by a '30 MIN, CONFIDENTIAL' ruler, evoking a private conversation with the Market Center.

What a confidential call with the Market Center actually looks like

Short answer: a confidential call is a 30-minute, private conversation about your business — where you are, where you want to go, and whether any of the ways we help agents would actually be useful to you. No pitch. No pressure. No “are you ready to make a move.”

We get asked pretty often what’s actually on the other side of the “book a confidential call” button. Agents have been burned by recruiting calls dressed up as something else, and that skepticism is earned. So here’s exactly what the call is, and what it’s not.

What the call is

  • Private. Your current brokerage will not hear about it. We have no financial incentive to tell anyone you called, and we don’t.
  • About your business, not ours. We’ll ask about your production, your model, what’s working, what isn’t, and what you’re actually trying to build. We’ll do most of the listening.
  • Honest. If we think you’re in the right place and shouldn’t move, we’ll say that. If we think there’s a real gap, we’ll say that too — with specifics.
  • Useful even if you never join. A lot of agents walk away with a clearer read on their own business and no next step with us. That’s a good outcome.

What the call is not

  • A recruiting sales call. We don’t have a talk track aimed at getting you to switch. If we had to choose between a right-fit “no” and a bad-fit “yes,” we’d pick the no every time.
  • An interview. We’re not evaluating you. You’re evaluating whether a different environment would make your business better.
  • A pitch for our economic model. If that’s the part you want to dig into, we’ll walk through the numbers openly — but only when it’s actually relevant to what you’re trying to build.

Who takes the call

Usually it’s me (Aaron Heard, the CEO) or one of the senior leaders at Keller Williams Portland Central. We take these calls personally because they’re the best way for us to understand what agents in this market are actually up against, and the best way for the right agents to figure out whether we’d be useful to them. We serve Oregon and Southwest Washington, with offices in Portland (919 NE 19th Ave) and Gresham (109 N Main Ave).

How to book

Grab a 30-minute slot on our calendar — book a confidential call. There’s no form maze. We’ll send you a short note before the call so you know exactly what we’ll cover, and you can cancel at any time without explanation.
